Prasant came in contact with metal work when he started blacksmithing on the age of 13. Mesmerized by the metalwork but with no further chance on schooling in blacksmithing he chose to go to Amsterdam to learn goldsmithing. Although the tools and work pieces are smaller, the profession of goldsmith is one of the broadest professions in the sense of materials, techniques and styles.
At this school he was awarded with the first prize on his masterpiece.

In 2011 Prasant moved to Argentina and worked together with a silversmith and several other goldsmiths. Making an eclectic array of jewelry and silverware in new styles.
In 2015 Prasant moved back to the Netherlands where he restarted his work as goldsmith making own designs and working in commission.
